RF,COMMENDATION
It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution accepting
the bid of Harrison Uniforms, a non-minority/local vendor, located at 3$50 N. Miami Avenue,
Miami. FL 33127, for the purchase of Uniform Accessories; for the Department of Police, for an
initial period of two (2) years with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year periods,
for a two year contract amount of $537,536.79, and thereafter, subject to a 6% increase for an
annual amount not to exceed $369,628.02.
Funding will be provided from the Police General Operating Budget, Account Code No.
001000.290201.6.075.
BACKGROUND
The Police Department must have the ability to provide uniform accessories to its Sworn and
Civilian employees. The Department of Police analyzed the bids received pursuant to Bid No. 00-
01-023 for the purchase of Uniform Accessories. Based on the application of the local preference,
Harrison Uniforms is recommended for the award, as the lowest most responsible and responsive
bid.
The Police Department must have the ability to provide uniform accessories to its Sworn and
Civilian employees.

REASON:
The Department of Police has a need for uniforms
accessories for its sworn and civilian employees.
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that award be made to Harrison
Uniforms, based upon the application of the 10%
local preference, for the procurement of uniform
accessories, on a contract basis, for an initial two (2)
year period, for a total amount of $537,536,79, with
the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1)
periods, subject to a 6% increase for an annual
amount not to exceed $369,628.02, for the
Department of Police, allocating funds therefor
from the Police Department's General Operating
Budget, Account Code No. 001000.290201.6.075.
