Home My WebLink AboutR-01-0826J-01-773 7/26/01 RESOLUTION NO. 1 w 826 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 01-604, AS AMENDED BY RESOLUTION NO. 01-727, WHICH ESTABLISHED A WORKING GROUP TO DEVELOP A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR A FIRST CLASS PARK COMPLEX TO BE LOCATED IN L'I'TTLE HAITI, MIAMI, FLORIDA, TO EXTEND THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPOINTMENTS FROM JULY 24, 2001 TO JULY 31, 2001, AND TO CHANGE THE NUMBER AND DESIGNATED INDIVIDUALS APPOINTED TO THE .WORKING GROUP, AS MORE PARTICULARLY SET FORTH HEREIN. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Resolution No. 01-604, adopted June 14, 2001, as amended by Resolution. No. 01.-727, adopted July 10, 2001, which established a working group to develop a comprehensive plan for a first class pa.rk complex to be located in Little Haiti, Miami, Florida, is further amended in the following particulars: A. The deadline for submission of appointments to the working group is extended from July 24, 2001 to July 31, 2001 at 5 p.m. 2EE?ING Of jU 1, 2, 6 2001 re hGaoluUon Na 0 • B. The appointment schedule set forth in the attachment to Resolution No. 01-604, and as amended by Resolution No. 0:1.-72'7, is further amended as follows: (1) The second paragraph of the memorandum addressing individuals appointed to Chair the working group is amended to include the appointment, as ex official, of the U.S. Congresswoman representing the District, thereby increasing the appointments for this group from seven to eight. (2.) The paragraph addressing individuals appointed by the State of Florida, identified as "A. Florida Department" is amended by changing the appointments for this group from four to three as follows: (a) Lane Items Al through A-4: the titles 'District Secretary' are changed to 'Director'; (b) Line Item A2: the title is changed from Director Secretary of the Department of Health for Miami -Dade County is changed to Director of the Florida Department of Health, Miami -Dade County Health Department; and (c) Line Item A4 is deleted (Director of the Department of Public Health. (3) The paragraph addressing individuals appointed by Miami. -Dade County, identified as "B. Miami -Dade County," is amended by changing the appointments from this group from seven to eight as follows: (a) Nine Items B-2 through B-5: the titles 'Manager' are changed to Director'; and (b) New Line Item B7 is added to include the appointment of the Director of the Miami - Dade Public 1,ibraries . City of Miami", is amended as follows: (a) Lines Item C7: the title is changed .from `Department of Police (PAL program)' to `City of Miami Police Patrol North District (Major)'. (5) The paragraph addressing individuals appointed by Homeownership Associations and Advocacy, identified in Paragraph E, is amended by changing the appointments from fourteen to twelve as follows: (a) Line Item E6: Buena Vista Homeowners Association is deleted; (b) Line Item E8: Little Acorn (Little Haiti area program) is deleted. (6) The paragraph addressing individuals appointed by U.S. Congress and City District ��ive Commissioner, identified in Paragraph F, is amended by decreasing the number of individuals appointed from this group from seven to three as follows: (a) Zine Item Fl: The U.S. Congresswomen (four appointees) is deleted. Section 2.
