BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Page 2 of 2 til- SO a CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA S3 INTER -OFFICE MEMORANDUM TO: Honorable Mayor and DATE: July 2nd, 2001 FILE: Memberssl4he City Commission FROM SUBJECT: Computing a Proposed llTillage Rate REFERENCES: ENCLOSURES: 1 RECOMMENDATION It is respectfully reconunended that the City Commission approve the attached resolution computing a proposed millage rate for the City of Miami in the fiscal Year beginning October 1, 2001 and ending September 30, 2002, and instructing the City Manager to submit said proposed millage rate along with the datc, time and place of the budget hearing to the Miami -Dade County Property Tax Appraiser and the Tax Collector, General Operating 8.995 Debt Service 1.218 Total Millage Rate 10.213 BACKGROUND According to the Sate of Florida's TRIM (Truth in Millage) law municipalities have to compute a proposed millage rate and submit said rate to the Property Appraiser and the Tax Collector together with the date, time and place of the public hearing at which the City Commission will consider said proposed millage rate and tentative budget for said fiscal year. =Irnd otg- 813
