FOR REPRESENTATION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI IN THE CASE OF LYNN AND PERRY RUNNELS, AS PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVES OF' JESSE STUART RUNNELS VS. CITY OF MIAMI, IN THE U.S. DISTRICT COURT FOR THE SOUTHERN DISTRICT OF FLORIDA, CASE NO. 00 -2930 -CIV -KING, IN THE AMOUNT OF $50,000 PLUS COS'T'S AS APPROVED BY THE CITY ATTORNEY; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE SELF-INSURANCE AND INSURANCE TRUST FUND, ACCOUNT CODE NO. 515001.624401.6.652, FOR SAID SERVICES. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The engagement of the law firm of Akerman, Senterfitt & Eidson, P.A. for representation of the City of Miami in the case of Lynn and Perry Runnels, as personal representatives of the Estate of Jesse Stuart Runnels vs. City of. Miami, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of. Florida, Case No. 00 -2930 -CIV -KING, in the amount of $50,000 plus costs as approved by the City Attorney, is authorized, with C3TY % dlE"Wo or J U L 2 6 2001 789 funds allocated from the Self -Insurance and Insurance Trust Fund, Account Code No. 515001.624401.6.652, for said services. After an initial appearance by the City Attorney's Office, a conflict of interest arose which precludes our continued representation of the parties in this case.
