A: RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION
APPOINTING AN INDIVIDUAL AS A MEMBER OF THE
EQUAL OPPORTUNITY AI)VTSORY HOARD FOR A TERM
AS DESIGNATED HEREIN.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMTSSTON OF THE CITY OF MTAMT,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The following individual is hereby appointed
as a member of the Equal Opportunity Advisory Board, to serve a
term expiring February 8, 2002, or until the nominating
Commissioner leaves office, whichever occurs first:
Board appointments are administrative acts which do not require
the Mayor's signature nor the City Attorney's review and approval.

The Equal Opportunity Advisory Board was created to review and recommend to the City
Commission the adoption of amendmentsirevisions to the City's affirmative action plan, The
board also reviews employment policies and practices of the City and makes recommendations to
the Department of f luman Resources.
Four appointments are needed at this time:
• Commissioner Winton has two nominations:
1. One for vacant seat created because Sabrina Bouie, who had been nominated by
former Commissioner Plummer, resigned; and
2. One for vacant seat created because Rasha Soray, who had been nominated by
former Commissioner Plummer, resigned.
• Commissioner Regalado has one nomination for seat currently held by Rosa Kasse, who
has exceeded the number of absences allowed by the City Code.
• Commissioner Sanchez has one nomination for seat currently held by Ivan Barrett whose
tern has expired and who has exceeded the number of absences allowed by the City Code.
For your information, attached please find a copy of the current membership of said board. By
copy of this memorandum, we are requesting the Agenda Office to place this issue on the June
14, 2001 Conuuission agenda. This issue was partly deferred from the February 8, 2001 and
April 26, 2001 Commission meetings.
