HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-01-05420 9 J-01-708 5/24/01 tit RESOLUTION NO. .. 542 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO DRAFT LEGISLATION PROHIBITING AND IMPOSING CIVIL AND CRIMINAL SANCTIONS CONSISTENT WI'T'H THE CODE FOR THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIFS ON THE PUALTC PARKING LOTS IN THE SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST AREA BY INDIVIDUALS OR ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDING CHARITIES AND NOT- FOR-PROFIT ENTITIES:(1) CAR REPAIRS, SERVICES AND CAR WASHES, (2) BAZAAR EVENTS, AND (3) THE SALE. OF GOODS OR PRODUCTS, LEGAL OR ILLEGAL. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The city attorney is directed to draft legislation prohibiting and imposing civil and criminal sanctions consistent with the Code for the following activities: (1) Car repairs, services and car washes, (2) Bazaar events, and (3) the sale of goods or products, legal or illegal on the public parking lots in the Southeast Overtown/Park West area by individuals or organizations including charities and not-for-profit entities.
