Due to the long-term relationship established between the City of Miami and Parrot Jungle and Gardens, Parrot Jungle and Gardens believes that a further enhancement of this relationship should include a full partnership and sponsorship relationship involving the current Parrot Jungle and Gardens located in Pinecrest, Florida and the new Watson Island facility. Thus, Parrot Jungle and Gardens proposes the following. Parrot Jungle and Gardens will offer free admission to all City of Miami employees presenting valid City identification cards during the months of May, June, September and October (holidays excluded) of every year beginning in 2001 and ending in 2060. With an estimated 4000 employees and an adult admission price of S15.95 currently, this benefit represents $63,800 if each employee were to visit the Jungle once. Using the Consumer Price Index of 3%, with the employee base remaining constant, over the life of this relationship, the City of Miami is receiving an employee benefit with a value of $13,455,800. Parrot Jungle and Gardens will offer the residents of the City of Miami during the months of May, June, September, October (holidays excluded) 2001 through 2060, a twenty percent discount (20%) off of the regular admission to Parrot Jungle. Each resident must show proof of residency in the City of Miami. Estimating the City to have approximately 365,000 residents (287,000 adults and 78,000 persons under the age of 18) and growing by 4000 per year, with each one visiting the Jungle otice, would represent a value of S 292,783,091 for adults and S 35,744,903 for children over the life of this relationship of 60 years. Parrot Jungle and Gardens, beginning in the summer of 2002, will undertake a summer training program for six (6) students per year until 2060. Both the City of Miami and Parrot Jungle and Gardens shall mutually agree as to the procedure for selecting the six students. Students will receive training in: landscaping and horticulture; food service; tourism and hospitality; and, education programs. The first year this represents a value of $8640. At the end of 2060, using the CPI escalation factor of 3%, the City realizes a benefit of $ 1,359,360 over the life of this agreement. Parrot Jungle and Gardens, beginning in the summer of 2001, and continuing until 2060, will provide to the City of Miami a 20% discount off the published price for any functions held at Parrot Jungle and Gardens (excluding holidays) including food (utilizing Parrot Jungle catering). For estimation purposes, based on 6 functions a year for u1.- 533 • 500 persons, the savings the City of Miami will realize are $9,900 in 2001 and escalate to $1,614,229 over the life of this agreement. Parrot Jungle and Gardens will also provide the City of Miami with four functions (excluding holidays) each year until 2060, with a 50•/. discount off of the published prices. Assuming an employee picnic for all 4000 employees over the course of a year, this represents a savings value of $33,00 in the first year and a total of $5,380,763 over the life of this agreement. The total benefit which the City of Miami will realize given its partnership relationship with the Parrot Jungle for the above programs over 60 years is $350,338,149. For these benefits, the City of Miami will provide the Parrot Jungle with the following: The City of Miami is a permanent sponsor of the Parrot Jungle and Gardens receiving and providing all rights and privileges related thereto. The City of Miami agrees to naming the access road located on Watson Island along the MacArthur Causeway, "Parrot Jungle Trail". The City of Miami agrees to give to Parrot Jungle and Gardens exclusive rights tothe use Mc of all light posts located on the Watson Island access road for Parrot Jungle banners for the life of this agreement. The City of Miami will have its logo noted on related Parrot Jungle and Gardens •- marketing collateral. 01- 533 YEAR 2001 2002 2003 2004 2006 CURRENTIPROJECTED ADMISSION RATES 2006 2007 2008 2009 ADULT ADMISSION S 1595 i 16.43 i 21.96 S CHILD ADMISSION 71.61 $ 23.29 S 2399 1 24.70 i 25.45 S 26.21 S 1095 3 11.28 S 14.95 $ 15.40 S 1586 1 1634 S 16.83 S 17.33 $ 17.85 EMPLOYEE BENEFIT FACTOR BASED ON 4000 EMPLOYEES (ADULT ADMISSIONS) S 63,800 OO i 65,714.00 S 87,800.00 $ 90,434 00 S 93,147.02 i 95,941.43 S 96,819.67 i 101,784.25 i 104,837.79 CITY OF MIAMI RESIDENT ADMISSION 20% OFF ADULT ADMISSION 20% CHILD ADMISSION 53.19 i'L 19 $3.29 $4.399 54.52 34.66 $4.80 54.94 $5.09 55.24 5308 $317 $3.27 $3.37 $3.47 $3.57 BENEFIT FACTOR BASED ON 000 RESIDENTS ,000 ADULTS - OVER 18 000 CHILpREN .UNDER 18 3915,530.00 1842,996.90 it,27T,490.00 31=901.50 $1,392,547.95 $1,453,512.67 51,516,861.99 51,582,74530 $1,61,195.22 5170,620.00 3175.94460 5233.220.00 1240,21660 $247.423.10 $254.M79 3262,491.16 17!0,365.90 3278`478 88 STUDENT TRAINING $ 8,64000 1 8,899.20 S 9,166.18 S 9,441.16 3 9,724.40 S 10,016.13 i 10,316.61 3 10,625.11 CITY OF MIAMI FUNCTION BENEFITS ADMISSION AND CATERING BY PARROT JUNGLE & GARDENS 20% OFF FUNCTION RATES i 3.30 S 3.40 S 3.50 $ 3.61 1 3.71 S 3.83 S 3.94 $ 4.05 $ 4.18 6 FUNCTIONS A YEAR 500 PEOPLE $ 9,90.00 i 10,197.00 S 10,502.91 PER FUNCTION - 3000 ADMISSIONS i 10,81800 S $1,14254 i 11,476.81 S 11,821.12 S 12,175.75 i 12,541.02 AINLITY OF MIAMI FUNCTION BENEFITS GEMISSION AND CATERING BY -PARROT JUNGLE & GARDENS 50% OFF FUNCTION RATES $ 8.25 i 8.50 S 8.75 3 901 $ 9.29 3 956 $ 9.85 S 10.15 $ 10.45 EMPLOYEE PICNICS BASED ON 3 33.000.00 S 33980.00 4000 AOMiSS10Ni S .35,009.70 i 38,06.99 S 37.141.79 5 38,25604 $ 39.403.73 3 40,565.84 S 41,803.41 Pape 1 d8 YEAR 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 CURRENTIPROJECTED ADMISSION RATES ADULT ADMISSION S 27.00 = 27.81 i 28.64 S 29.50 S 30.35 $ 31.30 3 32.23 S 33.20 S 34.20 CHILD ADMISSION S 18.39 $ 1894 $ 19.51 % 20.09 $ 20.69 S 21.32 i 21.95 S 22.61 $ 23.29 EMPLOYEE BENEFIT FACTOR BASED ON S 107,96293 S 111,222.41 5 114,559.09 $ 117,995.86 S 121,535.73 S 125,181.8t $ 128,937.26 $ 132,805.38 S 136,780.54 4000 EMPLOYEES (ADULT ADMISSIONS) C11fY OF M41AM1 RESIDENT ADMISSION 20% OFF ADULT ADMISSION 20% CHILD ADMISSION IENEFIT FACTOR BASED ON 000 RESIDENTS NW.000 ADULTS -OVER 18 78,000 CHILDREN - UNDER 18 STUDENT TRAINING CITY OF MIAMI FUNCTION BENEFITS ADMISSION AND CATERING BY PARROT JUNGLE & GARDENS 20% OFF FUNCTION RATES 6 FUNCTIONS A YEAR 500 PEOPLE PER FUNCTION - 3000 ADMISSIONS OF MIAMI FUNCTION BENEFITS MISSION AND CATERING BY PARROT JUNGLE 8 GARDENS 50% OFF FUNCTION RATES EMPLOYEE PICNICS BASED ON 4000 ADMISSIONS $5.40 $5.56 $573 $5.90 36A8 $6.26 86.45 36.64 58.84 $3.68 $3.79 $390 $4.02 $414 $4.26 $439 $1.52 54.66 31,722,327.66 $1,796,241.97 $1,873,041.05 51,952,831.45 $2,035.72354 32,121,831.61 $2,211,274.01 31,304,173.31 S2.4O0.658.41 3286.831.18 5296.436.12 $304,299.20 8313.428.18 SW,831.02 3332,515.95 3342.491.43 3352 76818 3383,349.16 S 10,944.89 S 11,273.24 S 11.611.44 S 11,95978 $ 12.318.57 S 12.688.13 S 13,068.78 S 13.460.64 S 13,864.86 5 4.31 S 4.43 $ 4.57 S 4.71 $ 485 S 4.99 3 5.14 S 5.30 $ 5.45 S 12,917.25 S 13,304.77 8 13,703.92 S 14,115.03 S 14.538.48 S 14,974.64 $ 15.423.88 3 15.886.59 S 16,363.19 S 10.76 S 11.09 3 11.42 S 11.75 3 1212 3 12.48 3 12.85 3 13.24 S 13.64 3 43.057.52 $ 44.349.24 $ '45.679.72 S 47.050.11 $ 48.461.61 S 49.915.46 S 51.412.92 3 52.955.31 S 54.543.97 Page 2 018 YEAR CURRENTIPROJECTEO ADMISSION RATES 2019 2020 2021 20222023 4 2025 2026 ADULT ADMISSION CINLD ADMISSION i 3522 S 36.28 $ 37.37 S 38.49 S 39.64 $ 40.83 S 4206 $ 4332 $ 23.99 S 24.71 S 25.45 S 26.21 i 27.00 S 27.81 i 28.65 $ 29.S1 EMPLOYEE BENEFIT FACTOR BASED ON 4000 EMPLOYEES (ADULT ADMISSIONS) S 140 89323 S 145,120.02 S 149.473.62 S 153,957.83 S 158,576.57 S 163,333.86 S 168,233.88 S 173,280.90 CIT}!
