FOR THE PROJECT ENTITLED "BRICKELL AVENUE BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT, B-3274" :N THE AMOUNT OF $291,713.90; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM PROJECT NO. 341135, AS APPROPRIATED BY THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS ORDINANCES, AS AMENDED, IN THE AMOUNT OF $291,713.90 FOR THE CONTRACT COSTS, AND $67,475.75 FOR EXPENSES, FOR A TOTAL ESTIMATED COST OF $359,189.65; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, FOR SAID PURPOSE. WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, Invitation for aids For the project "BRICKELL AVENUE BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT, B-3274", was mailed to thirty-five potential bidders; and WHEREAS, three bids were received April 27, 2001; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the Department of Public Works recommend that the bid from Homestead Concrete & Drainage, Inc. be accepted as the lowest responsible and responsive bid; and CITY G O Come MAY 2 k 2001 ` 01."476 WHEREAS, funds are available in the amount of $359,189.65 for the proposed amount of the contract, project expenses, and incidentals under Capital Improvement Project No. 391135, as appropriated by the Annual Appropriations and Capital Improvement Projects Ordinances, as amended; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The April 27, 2001 bid of Homestead Concrete & Drainage, Inc. in the proposed amount of $291,713.90, for the project entitled "Brickell Avenue Beautification Project, B-3279" for the 'total Base Bid 1-25, plus Additive Items 1-9, of the proposal, based on lump sum and unit prices, is accepted at the price stated therein. Section 3. The total estimated project costs of $359,189.65 are allocated from Project No. 391135, as appropriated by the Annual Appropriations and Capital Improvement Projects Ordinances, as amended. Total project costs consist of $291,713.90 for contract costs and $67,975.75 for estimated expenses incurred by the City. Page 2. of 3 01— 476 t Section 4.
