A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION
AUTHORIZING A GRANT, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $30,000, TO THE DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT
AUTHORITY TO ASSIST WITH THE COSTS ASSOCIATED
WITH THE FREEDOM TOWER BUILDING RIBBON
CUTTING CEREMONY ON MAY 19, 2001, ORGANIZED
BY THE CUBAN NATIONAL FOUNDATION; ALLOCATING
FUNDS FROM AN ACCOUNT TO BE IDENTIFIED BY THE
CITY MANAGER.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. A grant, in an amount not to exceed $30,000,
to the Downtown Development Authority to assist with the coats
associated with the Freedom Tower Building Ribbon Cutting
Ceremony on May 19, 2001, organized by the Cuban National
Foundation, is authorized, with funds allocated from an account
to be identified by the City Manager.

Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.11

If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become
effective at the and of ten calendar days from the date it was
passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it
shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by
the City commission.
