C01000.290201.6.260. WHEREAS, Resolution No. 99-372, adopted June 8, 1999, accepted the bid of Templeton and Franklin Veterinary Associates for the provision of veterinary services for horses for the Department of Police, on an as -needed contract basis for one (1) year, with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods; and WHEREAS, the Police Department requires an increase for the second year of the contract with Templeton and Franklin Veterinary Associates due to a viral infection and flu afflicting the horses, causing an increase in acute care expenses; and WHEREAS, funds for the increase are available from the Police General Operating Budget, Account Code No. 001000.290201.6.260; cm a omamorr MAY 1 n 2001 U0WW" NQ 0113 CURB= NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2.. Resolution No. 99-372, adopted June 8, 1999, is amended in the following particulars:ll "RESOLUTION NO. 99-372 "Section 2. Funding is to be provided from the Police General Operating Budget, from Account Code 001000.290201.6.260. BACKGROUND The Police Department is requesting an increase in the existing contract for the provision of veterinary services for horses.
