FOR THE PROCUREMENT OF SIX FLEXLITE MODEL LITELINE 360 OMNI -DIRECTIONAL LIGHTS FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF FIRE -RESCUE, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $6,720; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM ACCOUNT CODE NO. 313304.289401.6.840, AS FUNDED BY THE FIRE ASSESSMENT FEE. WHEREAS, the Department of Fire -Rescue requires the procurement of six Flexlite Model Liteline 360 Omni -Directional lights to provide firefighters with illumination inside a smoke-filled environment; and WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, Invitation for Bids No. 00-01-075 was mailed to twenty-seven potential bidders; and and WHEREAS, four responses were received on February 26, 2001; WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Chief of Fire -Rescue recommend that the bid received from Flexlite, Inc., be accepted CITY COQ KEEMG OF APR 2 6 2001 01- ceT21 as the lowest responsive and responsible bid; and WHEREAS, funds are available from Account Code No. 313304.289401.6.840, as funded by the Fire Assessment Fee; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The February 26, 2001 bid received from Flexlite, Inc. for the procurement of six Flexlite Model Liteline 360 Omni -Directional lights for the Department of Fire -Rescue, in an amount not to exceed $6,720, is accepted, with funds allocated from Account Code No. 313304.289401.6.840, as funded by the Fire Assessment Fee. Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor." 1� If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted.
