F City Clerk CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA 28 INTER -OFFICE MEMORANDUM DATE: February 20, 2001 FILE: SUBJECT: Fire Fighters' and Police Officers' Retirement Trust REFERENCES: ENCLOSURES: March 8, 2001 Agenda List of Members, Resolution The Fire Fighters' and Police Officers' (FIPO) Retirement Trust was created to provide retirement benefits pursuant to the provisions of City Code Chapter 40, Division 2; to establish and maintain functions as are necessary to administer, manage and operate the retirement plan. There are nine members on said trust, appointed as follows: • One trustee selected by the City Manager • Two trustees selected by fire fighters • Two trustees selected by police officers • Four trustees selected by the City Commission (two of which are selected from list of six individuals submitted by International Association of Fire Fighters; and two selected from list of six individuals submitted by the Fraternal Order of Police) • The Commission at large is requested to reappoint the following two nominations made by the FOP (Fraternal Order of Police): 1. Jesse Diner is being renominated by FOP for seat selected by the City Commission from list to be submitted by FOP. 2. Alexander Gurdak is being renominated by FOP for seat selected by the City Commission from list to be submitted by FOP. • The Commission at large is requested to reappoint the following two nominations made by the IAFF (Miami Association of Fire Fighters): 1. Dr. Marshall Barry is being renominated by IAFF for seat selected by the City Commission from list to be submitted by IAFF. 2. Charles Hall is being renominated by IAFF for seat selected by the City Commission from list to be submitted by IAFF.
