RECOMMENDATION•
It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution
rolling over to the current Fiscal Year (FY'2000-2001) $6,375,172.65 of Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, $7,185,491.09 of HOME Investment

With AIDS (HOPWA) funds from the accounts of previously approved activities that had
not been completed during the 1999-2000 Fiscal Year ending September 30, 2000.
BACKGROUND:
In response to the Audit Report issued by the U.S. Office of the Inspector General and
through the City's effort to improve its internal financial management and reporting

have not been completed.
As a result, it has been determined that the accounts of previously approved
activities/projects totaling $6,375,172.65 of CDBG funds, $7,185,491.09 of HOME
Investment Partnership (HOME) funds and $2,808,273.22 of Housing Opportunities for
Persons With AIDS (HOPWA) funds must be rolled over to the current Fiscal Year to
ensure that funds are available to complete these activities.
The attached chart provides an overview that includes the following information
pertaining to each funding source:
• The Activity/Project to be rolled over to the current Fiscal Year
• The total amount awarded to each Activity/Project
• The total amount expended on each Activity/Project
• The amount to be rolled over to complete each Activity/Project
It is recommended that the City Commission approve the proposed Resolution to rollover
previously approved, CDBG, HOME, and HOPWA funds to complete previously
approved activities/projects.
