BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The board also reviews employment policies and practices of the City and makes recommendations to the Department of Human Resources. All 14 members' terms expire on February 8, 2001 and appointments are needed at this time: • Commissioner Winton has two nominations: 1. One for vacant seat created because Sabrina Bouie, who had been nominated by former Commissioner Plummer, resigned; and 2. One for vacant seat created because Rasha Soray, who had been nominated by former Commissioner Plummer, resigned. • Commissioner Teele has two nominations: 1. One for seat currently held by Charles J. Flowers, who has exceeded the number of absences allowed by the City Code; and 2. One for seat currently held by Dr. Laurinus Pierre. • Vice Chairman Gort has two nominations: 1. One for seat currently held by Johnny Mathews; and 2. One for seat currently held by Miriam Urra. • Commissioner Sanchez has two nominations: 1. One for seat currently held by Ivan Barrett, who has exceeded the number of absences allowed by the City Code; and 2. One for seat currently held by Sam Mason. • Commissioner Regalado has two nominations: 1. One for seat currently held by Rosa Kasse, who has exceeded the number of absences allowed by the City Code; and 2. One for seat currently held by Alan Morley. • The Commission at large is requested to confirm the following appointments made by the unions representing City employees: 1. The Miami Association of Fire Fighters has appointed Henry S. Harrison for confirmation. 2. AFSCME has reappointed Jessica Angel for confirmation. 3.
