CLEAN RELIABLE SERVICES FOR THE ACQUISITION OF CUSTODIAL SERVICES FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF SOLID WASTE, ON A CONTRACT BASIS FOR ONE (1) YEAR WITH THE OPTION TO RENEW FOR TWO (2) ADDITIONAL ONE (1) YEAR PERIODS, IN AN ANNUAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $22,284; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM ACCOUNT CODE NO. 422001.320102.6.340. WHEREAS, the Department of Solid Waste requires the acquisition of custodial services at the Marine Stadium Marina on a daily basis to maintain the facilities in a sanitary and professional manner for customers and guests; and WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, Invitation for Bids No. 99-00-279 was mailed to fifty-six (56) potential bidders; and WHEREAS, four (4) responsive bids were received on October 16, 2000; and CITY COMMSSION F EETLA7G OF JAI' 1 1 2001 Losdu"= 'NQ. 01- 003 WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of Solid Waste recommend that the bid received from Mr. Clean Reliable Services be accepted as the lowest responsive and responsible bid; and WHEREAS, funds are available from Account Code No. 422001.320102.6.340; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The October 16, 2000 bid received from Mr. Clean Reliable Services, for the acquisition of custodial services for the Department of Solid Waste, on a contract basis for one (1) year with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year periods, in an annual amount not to exceed $22,284, is accepted, with funds allocated from Account Code No. 422001.320102.6.340. As a result of a large personnel staff coupled with many residents, vendors, professional clientele and City staff visiting the facility on a daily basis, it is imperative -to have the facility cleaned. The high traffic volume necessitates having a full-time employee assigned to perform custodial duties to ensure the facility is maintained in a clean, sanitary and professional manner.
