HomeMy WebLinkAboutO-12132J-01-748 9126101 ORDINANCE NO. 12132 AN ORDINANCE OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION ESTABLISHING A NEW SPECIAL REVENUE FUND ENTITLED: "FLAGLER FIRST CONDOMINIUM PROJECT FUND"; APPROPRIATING FUNDS ALLOCATED FROM THE CITY OF MIAMI AFFORDABLE HOUSING TRUST FUND, ACCOUNT NO. 367101, IN THE AMOUNT OF $900,000, FOR THE REDEVELOPMENT AND ADAPTIVE REUSE OF A BUILDING LOCATED AT 101 EAST FLAGLER STREET, MIAMI, FLORIDA FOR AN AFFORDABLE HOUSING CONDOMINIUM PROJECT; CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The following Special Revenue Fund is established and resources are appropriated as described herein: FUND TITLE: Flagler First Condominium Project Fund RESOURCES: City of Miami Affordable Housing Trust Fund, Account No. 367101 $900,000 APPROPRIATIONS: $900,000 Section 2. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances insofar as they are inconsistent or in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed. 12132 Section 3. If any section, part of section, paragraph, clause, phrase, or word of this Ordinance is declared invalid, the remaining provisions of this Ordinance shall not be affected. Section 4. This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after final reading and adoption thereof." PASSED ON FIRST READING BY TITLE ONLY this 13th day of September 2001. SUWECT : Ordinance Appropriating Funds for Flagler First Condominium Project from the Affordable Housing Trust Fund REFERENCES: Ordinance ENCLOSURES: that the City Commission adopt the attached Ordinance enue Fund entitled "Flagler First Condominium Project" and unt of $900,000 allocated from the Affordable Housing Trust The Department of Real Estate and Economic Development has prepared the attached legislation. On July 26h, 2001, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 01-767 authorizing a grant in the amount of $900,000 for partial funding for the redevelopment of an existing commercial building located at 101 East Flagler Street in the downtown central business district. The proposed project, known as Flagler First Condominium, would be the first condominium residential project developed in Downtown Miami and will serve as a catalyst for residential development and economic growth. In order to provide grant funds to Kapustin Corporation and a joint partnership to be determined in not more than90 days from June 26h, 2001, is now necessary to establish a new Special Revenue Fund and appropriate funds allocated from the Affordable Housing Trust Fund in the amount of $900,000.
