Background
• The events of Sept. 11 and their aftermath have
negatively impacted Miami and its citizens (its
economy, its psyche)
• People are worried, they do not feel safe, and are
concerned with the future
• The attitude and morale of our citizens has a direct
influence on the perception of outsiders towards
Miami
• The negative effects on the local economy can be
devastating if not corrected promptly
• It is the responsibility of every citizen to make Miami
a vibrant destination point again
aiitg of
Program objective
Encourage and stimulate people to regain
and maintain a positive attitude, socially and
economically.
Show people that their safety is of the utmost
importance and they should resume their
normal lives.
Together we can all restore the splendor of
Miami for ourselves and potential visitors.
