NARCOTRAFICO; VIA DE FINANCIACION Y DESTRUCCION Sobre el papel que juega el nar- cotrAfico en el Proyecto Bolivaria- no, Masetti considera que las con- ditions objetivas con que cuenta Fidel Castro son mss favorables que en los aflos 60 y 70, "pues cuen- ta con un ejercito guerrillero (ejercito, no guerrillas) con ar- mas superiores a las del ejercito colombiano que, ademas, se abas- tece con dineros del narcotrafico. Creo que en la mente de estos caudillos 'lo que se busca no es la patria bolivariana, sino la del narcotrafico". Y, aprop6sito, cita Masetti el libro aparecido en Ar - VV L .1 la 6uGl l a L,V11 Ll a EE.UU.>, afirma Masetti, pero "no hay que perder de vista que iguales proyectos existian cuando la democracia no estaba tan ex- tendida en el continente, y que en America Latina hemos aprendido con los golpes recibidos y la san- gre que ha corrido, a valorar y defender la democracia, que es mss que cualquier proyecto tota- litario". EL PROYECTO BOLIVARIANO Y EL FORO DE SAO PAULO En relaci6n con la coincidencia del planteado Proyecto Bolivaria- no con los objetivos similares del Foro de Sao Paulo (FSP), declara Masetti que este efectivamente juega un papel y muchas de las eminencias grises del Proyecto forman parte del Foro.
