HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-02-1261J-02-1012 11/15/02 RESOLUTION NO. 0 2 12 6 1 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO REVIEW AND APPROVE ADMINISTRATIVELY, AS APPROPRIATE, ALL BANNER REQUESTS FOR EVENTS CO-SPONSORED BY THE CITY OF MIAMI AND ALL OTHER BANNER REQUESTS FOR EVENTS WHICH TAKE PLACE IN THE CITY OR BENEFIT THE CITY AND ITS CITIZENRY. WHEREAS, the State of Florida Department of Transportation ("FDOT") requires that all promotional banners displayed on State roads be approved by the City of Miami; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that approval for such banner displays may be approved administratively; and WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to authorize the City Manager to review and approve administratively, as appropriate, all banner requests for events co-sponsored by the City of Miami and all other banner requests for events which take place in the City or benefit the City and its citizenry; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: CITY COSIMISSiON 14EE3.% G OF N0 ' 1 9 2002 Aesolu:ion No. 02-1261 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized and directed to review and approve administratively, as appropriate, all banner requests for events co-sponsored by the City of Miami and all other banner requests for events which take place in the City or benefit the City and its citizenry. Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayorll PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of November 2002. MANUEL A.
