FOR REPRESENTATION OF OFFICER AGUSTIN CLEMENTE IN THE CASE OF ANGEL ALVAREZ VS. CITY OF MIAMI, ET AL. IN THE U.S. DISTRICT COURT FOR THE SOUTHERN DISTRICT OF FLORIDA, CASE NO. 00 -2151 -CIV -JORDAN, IN THE AMOUNT OF $25,000, PLUS COSTS AS APPROVED BY THE CITY ATTORNEY; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE SELF-INSURANCE AND INSURANCE TRUST FUND, ACCOUNT CODE NO. 515001.624401.6.652, FOR SAID SERVICES. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The continued engagement of the law firm of Ronald J. Cohen, P.A., for representation of Officer Agustin Clemente in the case of Angel Alvarez vs. City of Miami, et al. in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Case No. 01 -2151 -CIV -JORDAN, in the amount of $25,000, plus costs as approved by the City Attorney, is authorized, with CI Yc #m NG cm MP11 19 2002 XeaoWdon Na.. 02-1216 funds allocated from the Self -Insurance and Insurance Trust Fund, Account Code No. 515001.624401.6.652, for said services. Cohen, P.A., for representation of Volice Officer Agustin Clemente in the case of Angel Alvarez vs. City of Miami, et al., in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Case No. 00 -2151 -Civ -Jordan (J-02-894). The attached proposed Resolution seeks authorization for the continued engagement of the law firm of Ronald J. Cohen, P.A., for representation of Police Officer Agustin Clemente in the case of Angel Alvarez vs. City of Miami, et al., pending in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Case No. 00 -2151 -Civ -Jordan, in the further amount of $25,000 plus costs as approved by the City Attorney. Resolution No. 02-21, adopted January 10, 2002, approved the allocation of $25,000 and Resolution No. 02-626, adopted June 13, 2002, approved the allocation of $25,000. Approval of this Resolution will bring the total amount to $75,000. Funds will be allocated from the City of Miami Self -Insurance and Insurance Trust Fund, Index Code No. 515001.624401.6.652.
