FOR REPRESENTATION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, IN THE MATTER OF DONALD H. WARSHAW V. THE CITY OF MIAMI, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, IN THE ELEVENTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT IN AND FOR MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, CASE NO. 00-11244 CA 04; ALLOCATING FUNDS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $25,000, PLUS COSTS AS APPROVED BY THE CITY ATTORNEY, FROM THE SELF-INSURANCE AND INSURANCE TRUST FUND, ACCOUNT CODE NO. 515001.624401.6.661, FOR SAID SERVICES. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The City Attorney's continued engagement of the law firm of Akerman, Senterfitt & Eidson, P.A. for representation of the City of Miami, in the amount of $25,000 in the matter of Donald H. Warshaw v. the City of Miami, a municipal corporation, in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit in and for Miami -Dade County, Florida, Case No. 00-11244 CA -04, is authorized, with funds, in an amount not to exceed CITY CDfiISO�i MEPTI. 0 r T 2 9 2002 Re"Iufiost rte. 02-1160 +_ ti $25,000, plus costs as approved by the City Attorney, allocated from the Self -Insurance and Insurance Trust Fund, Account Code No. 515001.624401.6.661, for said services. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission. Warshaw v. the City of Miami, a municipal corporation, in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit in and for Miami -Dade County, Florida, Case No. 00-112445 CA -04 (J-02-919) The attached Resolution authorizes the continued engagement of Akerman, Senterfitt & Eidson, P.A., in the amount of $25,000, for representation of the City of Miami, in the case Donald H. Warshaw v. the City of Miami, a municipal corporation, in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit in and for Miami -Dade County, Florida, Case No. 00-112445 CA -04. Funds in an amount not to exceed $25,000, plus costs as approved by the City Attorney, will be allocated from the Self -Insurance and Insurance Trust Fund, Account Code No. 515001.624401.6.661, for said services. The allocation of funds, in an amount not to exceed $20,000, plus costs as approved by the City Attorney, was authorized for this case by the City Commission pursuant to Resolution No. 00-545 on June 29, 2000. An additional $20,000 was allocated pursuant to Resolution No. 01-71, adopted January 25, 2001. Approval of this resolution will bring the total amount to $65,000. W762:AS:BSS c: Carlos A.
