A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 02-724 TO CORRECT THE NON-INCLUSION OF NO FAULT INDUSTRIES, INC., AS A VENDOR TO PROVIDE AND INSTALL PLAYGROUND AND PARK EQUIPMENT AT VARIOUS CITY PARKS. WHEREAS, Resolution No. 02-724 approved the procurement and installation of playground and park equipment at various City parks for the Department of Parks and Recreation from Hunter Knepshield Company, Contract Connection, Inc. and Leadex Corp. under existing Miami -Dade County Contract No. 4907 -2/03 -OTR -SW, in an aggregate amount not to exceed $872,598; and WHEREAS, No Fault Industries, Inc., an additional vendor, was inadvertently omitted from the Resolution; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: CITY COMUSSION MEEMN<3 6F SEP 1 1 2002 Xesolubon No. 02- 967 Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. Resolution No. 02-724, adopted June 27, 2002, is amended in the following particular:l/ "RESOLUTION NO. 02-724 Section 1. The procurement and installation of playground and park equipment at various City parks for the Department of Parks and Recreation from Hunter Knepshield Company, Contract Connection, Inc., No Fault Industries, Inc. and Leadex Corp., under existing Miami -Dade County Contract No. 4907 -2/03 -OTR - SW, effective through February 28, 2003, and any extensions, in an aggregate amount not to exceed $872,598, is approved, with funds allocated from the Safe Neighborhood Park Bond Program and City of Miami Program for Persons with Disabilities Miami -Dade County, Office of Americans with Disabilities Act ("ADA") Coordination Grant Fund, as appropriated for Capital Improvement Projects in Section VI of No. 11705, as amended. �i Underscored words and/or figures shall be added. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission. Page 3 of 3 02- 967 TO CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA INTER -OFFICE MEMORANDUM Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Commission RECOMMENDATION CA -23 DATE: AUG L 7 ?_,7j9 FILE: SUBJECT: Resolution Correcting Scriveners Error REFERENCES: Playground and Park ENCLOSURES: Equipment: furnish, deliver/install Contract No. 4907 -2/03 -OTR -CW It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution, correcting a scrivener's error, thereby amending Resolution No. 02-724, adopted June 27, 2002, approving the procurement and installation of playground and park equipment at various City parks from Hunter Knepshield Company, Contract Connection, Inc. and Leaden Corporation, to reflect the correction of including the vendor named No Fault Industries. BACKGROUND On June 27, 2002 the City Commission approved Resolution No. 02-724 approving the procurement and installation of playground and park equipment at various City Parks from Hunter Knepshield Company, Contract Connection, Inc., No Fault Industries and Leaden Corporation, for the Department of Parks and Recreation, under existing Miami -Dade County Contract No. 4907-2/03-otr-cw, effective through February 28, 2003, subject to any extensions.
