RESOLUTION NO, 02- 932
A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION
AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF FUNDS, IN AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $300,000, FROM THE
HOMELAND DEFENSE/NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENT
BOND FUNDS, SAID AMOUNT REPRESENTING THE
CITY OF MIAMI'S COMMITMENT OF MATCHING FUNDS
AS REQUIRED OF THE CITY FOR ITS GRANT
APPLICATION TO THE MIAMI-DADE COUNTY
DEPARTMENT OF SAFE NEIGHBORHOODS, WITH SAID
FUNDS SPECIFICALLY EARMARKED FOR THE
CREATION OF A DOMINO PARK AT ATHALIE RANGE
NO. 1 PARK IN OVERTOWN, MIAMI, FLORIDA.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The allocation of funds, in an amount not to
exceed $300,000, from the Homeland Defense/Neighborhood
Improvement Bond funds, said amount representing the City of
Miami's commitment of matching funds as required of the City for
its grant application to the Miami -Dade County Department of
Safe Neighborhoods is authorized, with said funds specifically
earmarked for the creation of a Domino Park at Athalie Range
No. 1 Park in Overtown, Miami, Florida.

Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.-'/

1� If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at
the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If
the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately
upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
