This property contains several illegal units. The owner of the house was charged with allowing work to be completed without a finalized permit in violation of the applicable provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, Building and City Code. A hearing was held before the Code Enforcement Board on May 23, 2001, at which the Owner failed to appear despite being served with a Notice of Violations/Summons to Appear. Compliance with the violation did not occur and there currently is a lien in the sum of $102,500.00 against this property. It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution, which will enable the City Attorney to select the best remedies in order to mandate compliance with the applicable codes, by the owners and removal of the violations.
