BACKGROUND
Chaya Thrasybule attended G. W. Carver Middle School and during her all too brief life touched
those around her with her love of family and friends. In addition to her caring nature, she was a
noted student and valued member of the African-American community. The naming of "Chaya
Thrasybule Street" to commemorate her tragic passing will serve as comfort to all those who loved
and in whose memories she will live forever.
