A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION
ACKNOWLEDGING THE CITY'S PROVISION OF
TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO THE SOUTHEAST
OVERTOWN PARKWEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY ("SEOPW/CRA") IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CHAPTER 163, FLORIDA STATUTES ("FS");
FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGING THE CITY'S COMPLIANCE
TO PROVISIONS OF THE FS FOR APPRAISAL
REPORTS RELATED TO PARKING LOT P-5, LOCATED
AT 936 NORTHWEST 3RD AVENUE, MIAMI, FLORIDA,
AND THE SEOPW/CRA'S ESTABLISHMENT OF A
MINIMUM BID PRICE OF NO LESS THAN $50,000
FOR THE PURCHASE OF SAID LOT; AND DIRECTING
THE CITY ATTORNEY AND THE CITY MANAGER TO
PROVIDE ADVICE AND TRAINING TO THE
DEPARTMENT OF ASSET MANAGEMENT RELATED TO
THE FS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Commission acknowledges the City's
provision of technical assistance to the Southeast Overtown Park
West Community Redevelopment Agency ("SEOPW/CRA") in accordance
with Chapter 163, Florida Statutes ("FS").
Section 2. The City of Miami's compliance to provisions
of the FS for appraisal reports related to Parking Lot P-5,
located at 936 Northwest 3rd Avenue, Miami, Florida, and the

SEOPW/CRA's establishment of a minimum bid price of no less than
$50,000 for the purchase of said Lot is acknowledged.
Section 3. The City Attorney and the City Manager are
directed to provide advice and training the Department of Asset
Management related to the FS.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.11

�i If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at
the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If
the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately
upon override of the veto by the City Commission.

By this memorandum, I am respectfully requesting to discuss the following resolution as a
pocket item:
RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION ACKNOWLEDGING THE
PROVISION OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE BY THE CITY TO THE CRA AND
ACKNOWLEDGING THAT ALL TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE MUST BE
PROVIDED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISION UNDER FLORIDA
STATUTE 163; FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGING THAT THE CITY HAS MET ITS
OBLIGATION UNDER F.S. 163 BY PROVIDING AN APPRAISAL ON PARKING
LOT P-5 LOCATED WITHIN THE SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN PARKWEST
(SEOPW) REDEVELOPMENT AREA AT 936 NW 3RD AVENUE ;
ACKNOWLEDGING THE CRA'S DECISION TO ESTABLISH A MINIMUM BID
PRICE OF $50,000 ON THE SALE OF PARKING LOT P5 AS BEING IN THE BEST
INTEREST OF THE AND THE PUBLIC AND DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY
AND THE CITY MANAGER TO TRAIN THE DEPARTMENT OF ASSET
MANAGEMENT ON THE PROVISION OF F.S.163.
