A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION
DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONDUCT A
STUDY OF THE EXISING WATER AND SEWER
AUTHORITY ("WASA") LINES IN THE PARKWEST
ENTERTAINMENT DISTRICT (THE "ENTERTAINMENT
DISTRICT") AND TO CONSIDER THE CREATION OF A
WASA OVERLAY DISTRICT WITHIN THE DESIGNATED
ENTERTAINMENT DISTRICT TO FACILITATE A PILOT
PROGRAM TO EFFECTIVELY REDUCE THE IMPACT
FEES ON LOCAL BUSINESSES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Manager is directed to conduct a
study of the existing Water and Sewer Authority ("WASA") lines
in the Parkwest Entertainment District.
Section 2. The City Manager is further directed to
consider the creation of a WASA Overlay District within the
designated Parkwest Entertainment District to facilitate a pilot
program to effectively reduce the impact fees on local
businesses.

immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.!'

1� If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at
the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If
the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately
upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
