RESOLUTION NO. Q2- 4-18
A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION
RESTATING THE POLICY THAT A MEMBER OF THE
CIVILIAN INVESTIGATIVE PANEL NOMINATING
COMMITTEE SHALL NOT BE ELIGIBLE TO SERVE AS
A MEMBER OF THE CIVILIAN INVESTIGATIVE PANEL
UNTIL ONE YEAR AFTER THE COMPLETION OF THE
DUTIES OF THE CIVILIAN INVESTIGATIVE PANEL
NOMINATING COMMITTEE; FURTHER DIRECTING THE
CITY CLERK TO ASSURE THAT EACH MEMBER OF THE
NOMINATING COMMITTEE ACKNOWLEDGE IN WRITING
SAID INELIGIBILITY.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The policy that a member of the Civilian
Investigative Panel Nominating Committee shall not be eligible
to serve as a member of the Civilian Investigative Panel until
one year after the completion of the duties of the Civilian
Investigative Panel Nominating Committee is restated.
Section 2. The City Clerk is directed to assure that
each member of the Nominating Committee acknowledge in writing
said ineligibility.

Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.!'

ii If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at
the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If
the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately
upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
