HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-02-0401J-02-411 4/12/01 RESOLUTION NO. 02- 4 01 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION EXPRESSING DEEPEST SYMPATHY AND SINCEREST CONDOLENCES ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF MIAMI AND ITS CITIZENS TO THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF LUIS SABINES, SR., UPON HIS UNTIMELY DEATH. WHEREAS, Luis Sabines, Sr., who was the longtime president of the Latin Chamber of Commerce (CAMACOL), recently passed away; and WHEREAS, Mr. Sabines, traveled to trade missions in Latin America and Europe to bring overseas companies to Miami, assisted countless small-business owners finance their initial infusion of cash and guidance for starting new businesses and also financed individuals to jump-start struggling businesses; and WHEREAS, Mr. Sabines was a devoted family man who donated and distributed bags of food to the needy at Christmas, and created an atmosphere of brotherhood during difficult tasks and managed to resolve issues in a friendly, jovial manner; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Commission, on behalf of the City of Miami and its citizens, to express its deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Luis Sabines, Sr.; CITY Gb MEM APR 1 2 2002 Ras*o No. 02- 401 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. On behalf of the citizens of the City of Miami, the City Commission hereby conveys to the family and friends of Luis Sabines, Sr., its deepest sympathy and sincerest condolences upon his untimely death.
