Funding is available from the Capital Improvement Program, Account Code No. 312025.299301.6.830. BACKGROUND The Department of Police has analyzed the bids received pursuant to Bid No. 01-02-020. Sixty- seven (67) Invitations for Bids were mailed and eight (8) responses were received. Based on the application of the local preference, Weathertrol Maintenance Corporation is recommended for the award, as the lowest most responsible and responsive bid. The air conditioning air handlers and air-cooled condensing units at the Police Department's North and South Substations are in need of replacement. The units are presently leaking freon and are constantly breaking down.
