RESOLUTION NO. 2 6
A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION
AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF FUNDS, IN AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $56,406.00, TO THE
DADE COUNTY ASSOCIATION OF CHIEFS OF
POLICE, COURT OVERTIME REDUCTION PROJECT;
ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE LOCAL LAW
ENFORCEMENT BLOCK GRANT VI PROGRAM, ACCOUNT
CODE NO. 142023.290537.6.270.
WHEREAS, to reduce the costs of court appearance overtime for
all local law enforcement agencies, the Miami -Dade County
Association of Chiefs of Police (the "Association"), and the
Miami -Dade County State Attorney's Office implemented the Dade
County Association of Chiefs of Police Court Overtime Reduction
Project ( the "Project") ; and
WHEREAS, the Project employs a coordinator and staff to
notify victims, witnesses and police officers when they are
required to appear at court; and
WHEREAS, to fund the Project, the members of the Association
remit funds determined by the number of sworn officers employed by
each Association;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:

Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the
Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and
incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The allocation of funds, in an amount not to
exceed $56,406.00, is authorized to the Dade County Association of
Chiefs of Police, Court Overtime Reduction Project, with funds
allocated from the Local Law Enforcement Block Grant VI Program,
Account Code No. 1.42023.290537.6.270.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.'/

�i If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become
effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days from the date it was
passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall
become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City
Commission.
