RESOLUTION NO. 02— 244
A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION
RENAMING BISCAYNE HEIGHTS MINI PARK, LOCATED
AT 8400 EAST DIXIE HIGHWAY, MIAMI, FLORIDA,
AS SHORECREST MINI PARK; FURTHER DIRECTING
THE CITY MANAGER TO TAKE THE NECESSARY STEPS
TO APPROPRIATELY IDENTIFY THE PARK.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Biscayne Heights Mini Park, located at
8400 East Dixie Highway, Miami, Florida, is renamed as Shorecrest
Mini Park.
Section 2. The City Manager is directed to take the
necessary steps to appropriately identify this center.

Biscayne Heights Park to
Shorecrest Mini Park

It is respectfully recommended that the City of Miami Commission
adopt the attached resolution renaming Biscayne Heights Mini Park
to Shorecrest Mini Park and authorizing the City Manager to take
the measures necessary to effect said change.
BACKGROUND.
At the February 14, 2002 Commission Meeting, the Administration
was directed to schedule a public hearing at 6:00 p.m. to rename
Biscayne Heights Mini Park to Shorecrest Mini Park. Attached is
a copy of the advertisement for this public hearing.

A public hearing will be held by the City Commission of the City of Miami, Florida on
March 7, 2002, at 6:00 p.m. in the City Commission Chambers at City Hall, 3500 Pan
American Drive, Miami, Florida, for the purpose of renaming Biscayne Heights Mini
Park to Shorecrest Mini Park.
