Additionally, this equipment will aid in the improved efficiency of equipment and manpower deployment to ensure improved service collection and/or special event cleanup activities. The Director of the Purchasing Department has determined that Motorola Communications and Electronics, Inc., is the sole manufacturer of the Motorola portable radios MTS2000 and LTS2000 Series (with SMARTNET Type ll software and required accessories). The City has previously determined the acquisition of these portable radios with the SMARTNET software and related accessories from Motorola was also a sole source.
