A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT A
GRANT, IN THE AMOUNT OF $450,000, FROM THE
SOUTH FLORIDA WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT AND
TO COMMIT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,050,000
FROM THE STORM SEWER BOND PROCEEDS, OR ANY
OTHER REVENUE SOURCE DEEMED APPROPRIATE, FOR
THE RETROFITTING OF A DRAINAGE SYSTEM IN THE
PINEHURST NEIGHBORHOOD; FURTHER AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY
DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY
ATTORNEY, TO ACCEPT THE GRANT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
section 1. The City Manager is authorized to accept a
grant, in the amount of $450,000, from the South Florida Water
Management District and to commit funds in the amount of
$1,050,000 from the Storm Sewer Bond proceeds, or any other
revenue source deemed appropriate, for the retrofitting of a
drainage system in the Pinehurst neighborhood.

Section 2. The City Manager is authorized) to execute
the necessary documents, in a form acceptable to the City
Attorney, to accept the grant.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor .2/

1f The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all
requirements that may be imposed by the City Attorney, including but not
limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Code
provisions.
21 If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at
the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted.
If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
