(.e AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AMENDING CHAPTERS 2 AND 54 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS REQUIRED FOR A QUORUM TO CONVENE A MEETING OF THE STREET CODESIGNATION REVIEW COMMITTEE; MORE PARTICULARLY BY AMENDING SECTIONS 2-887 AND 54-140(d)(3) TO SAID CODE; CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Chapter 2, Article XI, of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, is amended in the following particulars:'/ "Chapter 2 ADMINISTRATION Article XI. BOARDS, COMMITTEES, COMMISSIONS DIVISION 2. STANDARDS FOR CREATION AND 1� Words and/or figures stricken through shall be deleted. Underscored words and/or figures shall be added. The remaining provisions are now in effect and remain unchanged. Asterisks indicate omitted and unchanged material. 12179 REVIEW OF BOARDS GENERALLY Sec. 2-887. Quorum requirements; exceptions. (b) The following boards are subject to quorum requirements as provided for elsewhere in this Code. Bayfront Park Management Trust Brownsfields Advisory Board Equal Opportunity Advisory Board International Trade Board Miami Commission on the Status of Women Parking Advisory Board Street Codesignation Review Committee Urban Development Review Board Section 2. Chapter 54, Article IX, of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, is amended in the following particulars: 2/ "Chapter 54 STREETS AND SIDEWALKS ARTICLE IV. Naming of Streets and Numbering of Buildings Sec. 54-140. Street codesignation review committee. (d) Officers; quorum; meetings; reports; support. Ibid. Page 2 of 4 12179 The members present shall constitute a quorum for the purpose of convening a meeting. An affirmative vote of not less than fifty percent (50%) of the members present and voting at any meeting is required for any action to be taken by the members. Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances insofar as they are inconsistent or in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are repealed. Section 4. If any section, part of section, paragraph, clause, phrase or word of this Ordinance is declared invalid, the remaining provisions of this Ordinance shall not be affected. Section 5. This Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure on the grounds of urgent public need for the preservation of peace, health, safety, and property of the City of Miami. Section 6. The requirement of reading this Ordinance on two separate days is dispensed with by an affirmative vote of not less than four-fifths (4/5ths) of the members of the Commission. If the Mayor vetoes this Ordinance, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission. Page 4 of 4 121'7 c)
