Originally its services were limited to organizing a monthly social event for heterosexuals living with HIV/ AIDS. As membership increased, the demand and need to expand became apparent. The organization has grown, and we have added many new and important services for the HIV/AIDS infected & affected community not provided by other AIDS service organizations. TCPC offers an environment of security and acceptance so that we may connect with each other, access important sources of information, and be educated on how to take charge of our lives, our care, and our FUTURE. The heterosexual community is greatly underserved and those infected were in isolation and denial, since there was "NOWHERE ELSE TO GO." The need for emotional, educational, social support and holistic services was not met until TCPC came into existence. We are a peer operated organization. We are here to help you. We know what you have been through. WE HAVE BEEN THERE. We under- stand the pain and fear, how easy it is to hide and how difficult it can be to come to terms with this disease and to reach out. Also, our office does not have the budget to pay for this service; Your department will have to incur the cost. Your office can make the arrangements for tomorrow's meeting by calling the number below. Just a suggestion, you may want to ask Dan to ask the Chairman if he would not mind bringing this item up at a certain time. That way, the interpreter would not have to hang around all day (they probably get paid by the hour.). I already told him this yesterday but you may want to remind him. If you or Dan have any questions, please call me or Priscilla. Thanks. -----Original Message ----- From: Seidel, Monica Sent: Tuesday, December 10, 2002 11:15 AM To: Medina, Anna M.
