Diaz REFERENCES Mayor ENCLOSURES. RECOMMENDATION: I would respectfully recommend that the City Commission direct the Information Technology (IT) Department to conduct an audit of all computer hardware currently within the City's inventory. The audit, in addition to providing an itemized accounting of the City's current hardware inventory, should also provide information regarding its existing condition. In addition, I would respectfully recommend that the Commission request that a completed audit report be provided to the Mayor, Commissioners, and City Manager by Friday, March 22, 2002. The audit report findings should also be presented to the City Commission at its March 28, 2002, meeting. BACKGROUND: The Mayor's Office is currently working with an Information Technology consultant to assist with the development of an IT plan for the City and the development of a website for our office. In order to successfully complete both tasks, the consultant needs a full accounting of the City's IT inventory and its existing condition. 02- 231
