RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY
COMMISSION APPOINTING AN INDIVIDUAL AS A
MEMBER OF THE NUISANCE ABATEMENT BOARD
FOR A TERM AS DESIGNATED HEREIN.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The following individual is hereby appointed
as a member of the Nuisance Abatement Board, to serve a term
expiring May 5, 2004, or until the nominating Commissioner
leaves office, whichever occurs first:

The Nuisance Abatement Board was created to resolve controversies over the existence of public
nuisances, such as violative use of property in Miami.
Three members' terms expired on May 5, 2003:
• Commissioner Sanchez has one nomination for seat currently held by Robert Valledor.
Mr. Valledor has served as a member since May 5, 1994. Pursuant to Code Sec. 2-
885(b), no board member sfiall serve more than eight consecutive years on any one
board.
• Vice Chairman Teele has one nomination for seat currently held by James Moss.
• Commissioner Gonzalez has one nomination for seat currently vacant due to resignation of
Guillermo Revuelta. Mr. Revuelta has served as a member since May 5, 1994. Pursuant
to Code Sec. 2-885(b), no board member shall serve more than eight consecutive years
on any one board.
For your convenience, we are including a copy of the current membership of said board. By copy
of this memorandum, we are requesting that the Agenda Office place this issue on the July 10,
2003 Commission agenda. This matter was deferred from the May 8, 2003 Commission meeting.
