RESOLUTION NO. 03- 6 7 8
A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO REQUEST THAT
THE CITY ATTORNEY INITIATE ANY AND ALL
ACTION, IN LAW OR IN EQUITY, RELATED TO
EVICTIONS FROM CITY PROPERTY FOR NON-
COMPLIANCE WITH THE TERMS OF ANY AGREEMENT
ENTERED INTO WITH THE CITY OF MIAMI.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized!/ to request
that the
City Attorney
initiate any
and all
action, in law
or in
equity,
related to
evictions
from
City property
for
non-compliance with the terms of any agreement entered into with
the City of Miami.
�i The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with
all requirements that may be imposed by the City Attorney,
including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City
Charter and Code provisions.

Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.2 1

effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was
passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it
shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by
the City Commission.

The City Commission requested that the issue of authorization for the initiation of eviction
actions related to City properties by the City Attorney be discussed at the June 12, 2003 City
Commission Meeting. The attached resolution allows the City Manager to request the City
Attorney take action, rather than requiring the City Commission to authorize each eviction.
This Resolution has been submitted for placement on the June 12, 2003 Agenda.
