A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION
APPROVING THE ALLOCATION OF FUNDS, IN AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $500, TO SUPPORT
COSTS RELATED TO THE THIRD AFRICAN
AMERICAN -CARIBBEAN HERITAGE MONTH
DISTINGUISHED SONS & DAUGHTERS LEADERSHIP
AWARDS LUNCHEON, ON SUNDAY MAY 18, 2003,
FOR LIBERTY CITY/BROWNSVILLE BUSINESSES,
CHURCHES, HOMEOWNERS, SCHOOLS AND TENANTS;
ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE DISTRICT 5
OFFICE BUDGET, SUBJECT TO BUDGETARY
APPROVAL.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The allocation of funds, in an amount not to
exceed $500, to support costs related to the African
American -Caribbean Heritage Month Distinguished Sons & Daughters
Leadership Awards Luncheon on Sunday May 18, 2003, is approved,
for Liberty City -Brownsville businesses, churches, homeowners,
schools and tenants, with funds allocated from the District 5
Office Budget, subject to budgetary approval.

Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.!'

�i If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become
effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was
passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it
shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by
the City Commission.
