RESOLUTION NO. 03— 408
A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION,
WITH ATTACHMENT (S), AUTHORIZING THE BI -WEEKLY
CONTRIBUTION OF ALL COMPENSATION EARNED,
INCLUDING THE CASH VALUE OF SALARY AND
BENEFITS FOR EMPLOYMENT OF CITY MANAGER JOE
ARRIOLA, AS SET FORTH IN `ATTACHMENT NO. 1",
APPROVED BY RESOLUTION NO. 03-279, ATTACHED
AND INCORPORATED, TO THE UNITED WAY OF
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, EFFECTIVE
JANUARY 28, 2003, AND TO CONTINUE FOR THE
DURATION OF HIS EMPLOYMENT WITH THE CITY OF
MIAMI, PAYABLE FROM APPROPRIATE ACCOUNT CODES
SET FORTH HEREIN; AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF
ALL DOCUMENTS REQUIRED TO IMPLEMENT SAID
CONTRIBUTION.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The bi-weekly contribution of all
compensation earned, including the cash value of salary and
benefits for employment of City Manager Joe Arriola, as set
forth in Attachment No. 1, approved pursuant to Resolution
No. 03-279, attached and incorporated, to the United Way of
Miami -Dade County, Florida, effective January 28, 2003, and to
continue for the duration of his employment with the City of
Miami is authorized, as follows:

1. The contribution shall be contributed directly to the
United Way by the City; and
2. The contributions shall be made bi-weekly, in an
amount of 1/26th of his annual compensation, less a
one-time payment of $10, to meet the requirement for
participation in the pension program.
Section 2. Funds are payable from the following
accounts: Salary and Deferred Compensation funds from Account
Code No. 001000.250101.6.010, Car Allowance funds from Account
Code No. 001000.250101.6.083, Group Insurance Contribution funds
from Account Code No. 001000.250101.6.130, and Cellular
Telephone Allowance funds from Account Code
No. 001000.250101.6.510.
Section 3. The execution of all documents required to
implement said contributions, is authorized.!'
1� The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with
all requirements that may be imposed by the City Attorney,
including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City
Charter and Code provisions.

Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayoral

effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was
passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it
shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by
the City Commission.
