HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-03-0411J-03-428 05/01/03 RESOLUTION NO. 03— 4 11 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION RELATED TO THE "EL DIA DE LOS NINOS," ORGANIZED BY THE CUBAN AMERICAN NATIONAL COUNCIL, TO BE HELD AT JOSE MARTI PARK, ON MAY 3, 2003; AUTHORIZING THE (1) WAIVER OF ALL FEES AND PERMITS PERMISSIBLE BY LAW, INCLUDING THE USE OF THE PUBLIC RIGHT-OF- WAY, AND (2) THE PROVISION OF IN-KIND SERVICES BY THE DEPARTMENTS OF POLICE, FIRE - RESCUE, SOLID WASTE, AND PARKS AND RECREATION, IN A TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $5,900; CONDITIONING SAID AUTHORIZATIONS UPON THE ORGANIZER: (1) OBTAINING ALL PERMITS REQUIRED BY LAW; (2) PAYING FOR ALL OTHER NECESSARY COSTS OF CITY SERVICES AND APPLICABLE FEES ASSOCIATED WITH SAID EVENT; (3) OBTAINING INSURANCE TO PROTECT THE CITY IN THE AMOUNT AS PRESCRIBED BY THE CITY MANAGER; AND (4) COMPLYING WITH ALL CONDITIONS AND LIMITATIONS AS MAY BE PRESCRIBED BY THE CITY MANAGER; AND ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM ACCOUNT NO. 001000921054.6.289, ENTITLED "SPECIAL EVENTS FESTIVAL ACCOUNT." BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The (1) waiver of all fees and permits permissible by the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, including the use of the public right-of-way, and for (2) the provision of in-kind services, by the Departments of CITY COMMON NEE171OG CM MAY 0 1 2003 Rmcwtim rr. 03- 411 "r Police, Fire -Rescue, Solid Waste, and Parks and Recreation, in a total amount not to exceed $5,900, is authorized for the "E1 Dia de Los Ninos," organized by the Cuban American Council, to be held at Jose Marti Park, on May 3, 2003, with funds allocated from Account No. 001000921054.6.289, entitled "Special Events Festival Account." Section 2. The herein authorizations are conditioned upon the Organizers: (1) obtaining all permits required by law; (2) paying for all other necessary costs of City services and applicable fees associated with said event; (3) obtaining insurance to protect the City in the amount as prescribed by the City Manager; and (4) complying with all conditions and limitations as may be prescribed by the City Manager. Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.11 1� If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted.
