BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The following individuals are hereby appointed as members of the Equal Opportunity Advisory Board, each to serve a term expiring February 8, 2004, or until the nominating Commissioner leaves office, whichever occurs first: APPOINTEES: Alan Morley John Jones Raul Dominguez Sam Mason NOMINATED BY: Commissioner Tomas Regalado Commissioner Tomas Regalado Commissioner Joe Sanchez Commissioner Joe Sanchez City Commission Meeting of March 27, 2003 Resolution Number 03-315 Section 2. The board also reviews employment policies and practices of the City and makes recommendations to. the Department of Human Resources. Twelve members' terms expired on February 8, 2003. The City Commission has eight appointments to make and two confirmations of union representatives at this time: • Commissioner Regalado has two nominations for seats currently held by: 1. Alan Morley 2. vacancy created because Rosa Kasse resigned • Vice Chairman Teele has two nominations for seats currently held by: 1. Charles J. Flowers, whose term expired on February 8, 2002 and has exceeded the number of absences allowed by the City Code 2. Dr. Laurinus Pierre, whose term expired on February 8, 2002 and has exceeded the number of absences allowed by the City Code • Chairman Winton has two nominations for seats currently held by: 1. vacant because Michael Gongora resigned 2. Aldwyn Melton, who has exceeded the number of absences allowed by the City Code • Commissioner Sanchez has two nominations for seats currently held by: 1. Raul Dominguez 2. Sam Mason • The Commission At -Large is requested to confirm the following appointments: o Maria V. Bao, who was nominated by the AFSCME Local 1907 o Henry S.
