HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-03-0279J-03-115 2/24/03 RESOLUTION NO. 0 3 — 219 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), RATIFYING, APPROVING, CONFIRMING AND AUTHORIZING THE SALARY AND BENEFITS TO BE RECEIVED BY CITY MANAGER JOE ARRIOLA. WHEREAS, on January 28, 2003, Mayor Manuel A. Diaz appointed Joe Arriola to the position of City Manager of the City of Miami, Florida; and WHEREAS, on January 23, 2003, pursuant to Resolution No. 03-132, Mayor Manuel A. Diaz' appointment of Joe Arriola to the position of City Manager of the City of Miami, Florida, was ratified, approved and confirmed by the City Commission; and WHEREAS, it is now in order for the City Commission to ratify, approve and confirm Joe Arriola's salary and benefit package for his services as City Manager; and TG .:niL! 7 7 MT CQ ON MEETIM C MAR 2 7 2003 03- 279 - WHEREAS, the benefits and compensation package attached specifically refers to terms and conditions defined in accordance with established City of Miami policy as set forth by the Department of Employee Relations; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The salary and benefits to be received by City Manager Joe Arriola, listed on "Attachment No. 1", attached and incorporated, are ratified, approved, confirmed and authorized. Joe Arriola shall receive the same cost of living increases, if any, available on an annual basis to all eligible City of Miami employees. Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.11 1� If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
