RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION,
WITH ATTACHMENT (S) , BY A FOUR-FIFTHS (4/STHs)
AFFIRMATIVE VOTE, RATIFYING, APPROVING AND
CONFIRMING THE CITY MANAGER'S FINDING OF AN
EMERGENCY TO SELL NINE CITY -OWNED DAMAGED
SURPLUS VEHICLES, AS DESCRIBED IN
"EXHIBIT A," ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED, TO
FF2 PRODUCTIONS, LLC., FOR FILMING OF THE
MOTION PICTURE "FAST AND FURIOUS II," AT A
FAIR MARKET PRICE OF $1,200 PER VEHICLE WITH
LIGHT BARS AND $1,000 PER VEHICLE WITHOUT
LIGHT BARS, FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT OF $9,800;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL
NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO
THE CITY ATTORNEY, FOR SAID PURPOSE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. By a four-fifths (4/5ths) affirmative vote,
the
City
Manager's
finding of
an emergency
to sell nine,
City
-owned,
damaged
surplus
vehicles, as
described in
"Exhibit A," attached and incorporated, to FF2 Productions, LLC.,
for filming of the motion picture "Fast and Furious II," at a
fair market price of $1,200 per vehicle with light bars and
$1,000 per vehicle without light bars, for a total amount of
$9,800 is ratified, approved and confirmed.

Section 2. The City Manager is authorizedll to execute
all necessary documents, in a form acceptable to the City
Attorney, for said purpose.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayoral
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of February , 2003.

1� The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with
all requirements that may be imposed by the City Attorney,
including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City
Charter and Code provisions.
�� If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at
the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted.
If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.

It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution
authorizing the City Manager to sell nine (9) surplus city -owned vehicles, as more
particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made part hereof, at $1,200/per
vehicle with light bars and $1,000/per vehicle without light bars, to F'F2 Productions,
LLC., for a total amount of $9,800, intended for the purpose to facilitate the filming of
the feature movie of "Fast and Furious II".
BACKGROUND
FF2 Productions, LLC., has expressed an immediate and urgent need in purchasing nine
(9) city -owned vehicles to be used for the filming of "Fast and Furious II" which is
presently being filmed in our area.
The Department of Municipal Services has identified nine (9) surplus city -owned vehicles
that have been earmarked to be taken out of fleet. Based on the most recent G.S.A.
auction, it has been determined that $1,200/per vehicle with light bars and $1,000/per
vehicle without light bars is a fair market price.

The Department of Generral Services Administration, Fleet Management Division, is
respectfully requesting your approval for an emergency sale of nine (9) city -owned
