RECOMMENDATION
It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution,
correcting a scrivener's error, thereby amending Resolution No. 02-1273, adopted December 21,
2002, approving the procurement of cellular telephone equipment and services from Various
Vendors, to reflect the correction and inclusion of "or replacement contracts".
BACKGROUND
On December 12, 2002, the City Commission approved Resolution No. 02-1273 approving the
procurement of cellular telephone equipment and services from Various Vendors, for the
Department of Information Technology to be used by various city departments and agencies, on
an as needed basis, under existing State of Florida Contract No. 725-330-98-1, effective through
December 21, 2002, subject to any extensions. The State of Florida Contract No. 725-330-98-1
was due to expire before a new contract was issued. Therefore to avoid any cellular service
interruptions the clause "or replacement contracts" is necessary. However, the clause was
inadvertently left out.
