JASINSKI, ET AL VS. CITY OF MIAMI, CASE NO. 01-28889 CA (09), IN THE ELEVENTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT IN AND FOR MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, A CASE RELATED TO THE DEFENSE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI PARKING SURCHARGE; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE SELF-INSURANCE AND INSURANCE TRUST FUND, ACCOUNT CODE NO. 515001.624401.6.661, FOR SAID SERVICES. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The continued engagement of the law firm of Weiss Serota Helfman Pastoriza & Guedes, P.A., in an amount not to exceed $100,000 plus costs as approved by the City Attorney, for representation of the City of Miami in the case of Robert M. Jasinski, et al. vs. City of Miami, Case No. 01-28889 CA (09), in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit in and for Miami -Dade County, Florida, a case related to the defense of the City of Miami CITY COMMISSION KFSnNAG OF JAN 0 9 ?Pn1 kDookaim W. 03- 013 Parking Surcharge, is authorized, with funds allocated from the Self -Insurance and Insurance Trust Fund, Account Code No. 515001.624401.6.661, for said services. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission. Jasinski, et al., vs. City of Miami, Case No. 01-28889 CA (09), in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit in and for Miami -Dade County, Florida (J-03-003) The attached Resolution seeks authorization for continued engagement of the law firm of Weiss Serota Helfman Pastoriza & Guedes, P.A. for representation of the City of Miami, in the amount of $100,000 plus costs as approved by the City Attorney, related to the defense of the City of Miami Parking Surcharge Ordinance, in the case of Robert M. Jasinski, et al. vs. City of Miami, Case No. 01-28889 CA (09), in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit in and for Miami -Dade County, Florida. Resolution No. 02-737, adopted June 27, 2002, allocated $60,000, plus costs as approved by the City Attorney for this case. Approval of this Resolution will bring the total amount allocated to $160,000.
