HomeMy WebLinkAboutO-12408J-03-687 08/8/03 ORDINANCE NO. 12408 AN ORDINANCE OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION SUNSETTING CITY OF MIAMI DISTRICTS TWO, THREE, AND FIVE HISTORIC PRESERVATION ADVISORY BOARDS BY AMENDING SECTION 2-892 AND REPEALING, IN THEIR ENTIRETY, ALL DIVISIONS AND SECTIONS OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, AND ORDINANCE NOS. 12077, 12086, AND 12234.1 RELATED TO SAID ADVISORY BOARDS; CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION, A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. City of Miami Districts Two, Three, and Five Historic Preservation Advisory Boards are sunsetted and Ordinance Nos. 12077, 12086, and 12234.1, and all Divisions and Sections of the Code related to said Advisory Boards are repealed, in their entirety. Section 2. Chapter 2/Article XI of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, entitled," is further amended in the following particulars:l/ �i words and/or figures stricken through shall be deleted. Underscored words and/or figures shall be added. The remaining provisions are now in effect and remain unchanged. Asterisks indicate omitted and unchanged material. 12408 "Chapter 2 ADMINISTRATION Article XI. BOARDS, COMMITTEES, COMMISSIONS DIVISION 2. STANDARDS FOR CREATION AND REVIEW OF BOARDS GENERALLY Sec. 2-892. "Sunset" review of Boards. Commencing with the year 1995, each city Board shall be reviewed in the following manner: (4) The following Boards shall initially be reviewed in the following years and shall be reviewed every four years thereafter: 9. 2901- -ice- Distriet Five stem-preseryatien-adyisery beard (te be sunsetted june 30, 2995T h g• 2002: 1. All ordinances or parts of ordinances that are inconsistent or in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are repealed. Page 2 of 3 12408 Section 4. If any section, part of section, paragraph, clause, phrase or word of this Ordinance is declared invalid, the remaining provisions of this Ordinance shall not be affected. Section 5. If the Mayor vetoes this Ordinance, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission or upon the effective date stated herein, whichever is later.
