ORDINANCE NO. 12380
AN ORDINANCE OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 12190, AND
APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL FUNDS TO THE SPECIAL
REVENUE FUND ENTITLED "DUPONT PLAZA PROJECT -
METROMOVER REALIGNMENT IN DOWNTOWN MIAMI," IN
THE AMOUNT OF $1,300,000, CONSISTING OF A
GRANT FROM THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION OUTREACH PROGRAM TO PREPARE
THE FINAL DESIGN TO ADDRESS TRANSIT
REALIGNMENT AND TRAFFIC REDIRECTION WITHIN
THE PROJECT STUDY AREA; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ACCEPT SAID GRANT AWARD AND TO
EXECUTE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM
ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY; CONTAINING A
REPEALER PROVISION, A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE,
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 12190 appropriated $480,000 to the
Special Revenue Fund entitled "Dupont Plaza Project - Metromover
Realignment in Downtown Miami;" and
WHEREAS, the State of Florida Department of Transportation
("FDOT") Transportation Outreach Program has awarded the City of
Miami additional funds, in the amount of $1,300,000, to prepare
the final design to address transit realignment and traffic
redirection within the project study area;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the
Preamble to this Ordinance are adopted by reference and
incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. Ordinance No. 12190, adopted February 14,
2002, Special Revenue Fund entitled Dupont Plaza Project -
Metromover Realignment in Downtown Miami, is amended and
additional resources are appropriated as described below:lr

Section 3. This appropriation is contingent upon the
City Manager's acceptance thereof.

Section 4. The City Manager is authorize&2� to accept
the grant from the State of Florida Department of Transportation
Outreach Program and to execute the necessary documents, in a
form acceptable to the City Attorney, for said purpose.
Section 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances insofar
as they are inconsistent or in conflict with the provisions of
this Ordinance are repealed.
Section 6. If any section, part of section, paragraph,
clause, phrase or word of this Ordinance is declared invalid, the
remaining provisions of this Ordinance shall not be affected.
Section 7. This Ordinance shall become effective thirty
(3 0 ) days after final reading and adoption thereof . 3r
2/ The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with
all requirements that may be imposed by the City Attorney,
including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City
Charter and Code provisions.
3/ This Ordinance shall become effective as specified herein unless
vetoed by the Mayor within ten days from the date it was passed
and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Ordinance, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City
Commission or upon the effective date stated herein, whichever is
later.

"Dupont Plaza Project - Metromover Realignment in Downtown Miami", in the amount
of $ 1,300,000.00, consisting of a Transportation Outreach Program grant from the State

redirection within the project study area.
