This family event promotes a cross -vulture of sounds and entertainment that suits the needs of the entire age spectrum. Commission approve the Columbian American Service Association's (C.A.S.A.) request to appropriate funds in the amount not to exceed $7,200.00 from the Special Events fund for city services of .police and fire personnel. BACKGROUND Ms. Esperanza Martinez, Executive Director of C.A.S.A. requests a personal appearance before the City Commission on May 22nd, 2003 to seek waivers of funds in the amount not to exceed $7,200.00 for the event to be held at Bayfront Park on June 1, 2003. The administration recommends $7,200.00 be allocated from the Special Events fund to The Columbian American Service Association. C.A.S.A. is a non for profit organization that serves the Hispanic immigrant community in Miami -Dade providing direct services through legal counseling, advocacy, education and outreach programs. C.A.S.A.'s mission is to bring the community cultural and musical events that promote culture while portraying a positive image of Columbia and its people.
